HERE WE GO AGAIN
I just heard a story on TV that gas could be approaching $4 a gallon once again this summer. In case we do see sky high prices again, here are some good things
that can come of higher gas prices in 2010 (from Time)
- Your car insurance will be cheaper. Why? Because if you’re driving around less, you might qualify for lower insurance rates.
- There’s less traffic around town. Since fewer and fewer people can afford gas, fewer of us are on the road. That means there are less people on the roads.
- More cops are forced to walk the beat. As you know, police love to take out cool cars and cruise the town. Now, because of the high gas prices, they’re forced to meet people and do more community patroling.
- There’s less obesity. (Okay, we can dream right?) In a perfect world this would mean people would ride bikes or walk to work more.
Do you think there are any more “good” reasons $4 a gallon gas may not be so bad?
