The Red Sox are back … and the Rays are backpedaling.
It’s not a huge deal. It’s a three-game series in late-May.
The Rays still own the best record in baseball and, with it, obviously, the lead in the American League East.
The Rays received two poor starts from their usually reliable starting pitchers and their hitting with runners in scoring position, a staple in their run to the head of the pack, was nearly nonexistent.
