You could call it the Don Juan Diet. Eating celery can make men sexier to women, say the authors of a new book about healthy eating. Celery floods a man’s sweat with a biochemical called a “pheromone,” whose scent has been shown to spur sexual desire in females, according to health writers Judy Gaman, Dr. Walter Gaman and Dr. Mark Anderson. The team reveals celery’s sexual power in their book “Stay Young: Ten Proven Steps To Ultimate Health.” They explain how the fluids in celery cells contain massive amounts of androstenone, a steroid found in human sweat. And the steroid contains a pheromone that could put Old Spice and Axe out of business if someone could just figure out how to bottle it. For now, the best way for guys to boost their androstenone levels is to munch a bunch of celery.
