Staying Cool on Hot Days
Another reason to stay cool on hot days: Warm weather may trigger severe headaches and migraines, says a study that followed 7,000 headache sufferers over six years. With every 5 degree uptick
in temperature, the subjects’ risk of having a pounder increased by more than 7%, says lead author Kenneth Mukamal, M.D., of Harvard Medical School. The rising mercury might spark headaches by altering hormone activity or changing how blood circulates.
