Rays Finish Road Trip With Win
The Rays left Cleveland Sunday with a series win, a successful 5-4 road trip and a feel-good vibe entering their longest home stand since 2005 starting Monday.
Rookies Reid Brignac and Wade Davis had their fingerprints all over a 4-2 victory that pushed the Rays to 14-6 in July and a season-best 21 games over .500 (59-38).
Brignac hit a three-run home run and made a late-game defensive play that saved at least one run, and Davis (8-9) won his third consecutive start with 6 1/3 solid innings to match Cleveland’s Mitch Talbot for the American League in wins among rookies. To read more click here.
