The motorcycle was pink and customized, as well as locked inside a trialer. The motorcyle had chains and had been parked in the organization’s parking lot in the Hamburg area. Some of the employees that were returning to work on Monday morning noticed it was missing and contacted police.
Executive Director, Penny Gilbert said the bike was valued at $15,000 without the custom paint job and autographs. The trailer was valued at $5,000. Both had been donated by Wildcat Harley-Davidson of London.
“We had really hoped to achieve about $100,000″ by auctioning the items before the foundation’s Race for the Cure on October 16th, Gilbert said. “We’ve missed that opportunity now.”
Lexington Police Department would like anyone with any information to contact them.
