Opening & Closing Ceremony Info
The Susan G Komen 3-Day for the Cure 60 mile walk kicks off Friday morning, October 29th. Be there to send off the walkers! The event culminates on Sunday the 31st with an emotional finish line and Closing Ceremonies.
Opening Ceremony Friday, October 29 7:30am

From the North – Take I-275 South across Tampa Bay. Take Exit 18 (SR 688 West Largo). Follow the signs for SR 686 which will veer to the right (St. Pete-Clearwater Airport). Stay on SR 686 (also named East Bay) for approximately 8-10 miles. Cross over the Belleair Causeway. The road will end at Gulf Boulevard. Turn right. Sand Key Park will be approximately 3-4 miles on the left side.
From the South – Take I-275 North and take the Largo/Roosevelt Blvd. Exit. Follow signs towards 686 West. Continue on 686 West and then take exit 686 West toward Largo/Clearwater. Turn left onto Roosevelt road. Road name changes to East Bay Drive. Continue to follow signs to beaches and the road name will change to West Bay Drive going over the Belleair Causeway. Turn right onto Gulf Blvd. Sand Key Park is approximately 3-4 miles on the left side.
Closing Ceremony Sunday, October 31 5:00 p.m.

Your friends, family and supporters should arrive at the Closing Ceremony site at least 90 minutes early to secure a space by the stage that will give them the best view of the program. Please allow extra time for travel and parking. We encourage you to carpool or take public transportation. Not only is it better for the planet, but it will help lessen traffic congestion for everyone.
All walkers and crew members are encouraged to remain in the Participant Holding Area where you will receive your victory shirt, cheer on fellow walkers and crew members and reflect on your experience together before the dramatic victory walk into the Closing Ceremony.
The Participant Holding Area is closed to spectators. If you wish to meet with friends and family before the Ceremony begins, please exit the Holding Area and join them near the stage. Just remember to return to the Holding Area no later than 4:30 p.m. to join the victory walk.

Spa Beach Park is on 2nd Ave. NE (the same street as the Pier) in downtown St. Petersburg. There are two parking garages available in downtown St. Petersburg: 117 2nd St. N or 101 1st. Ave. S.
From the South – Take I-275 N and take Exit 23 toward the Pier. Turn slight left onto 4th Ave N. Turn right onto 4th St. N. Turn left onto 2nd Ave. N.
From the North – From I-275 take Exit 23A left onto I-375 E towards the Pier. Then take a slight left onto 4th Ave. N. Turn right onto 4th St. N and then left onto 2nd Ave. N.
