Garth Brooks Raining On Recovery
The floods nearly wiped out the city of Nashville several months ago, but now the only rain in Music City is the ten million dollars that [lastfm link_type=""]Garth Brooks[/lastfm] recently raised from the nine sold out concerts he performed to support the city’s flood relief fund.
“The feeling is so good that money can’t buy this,” said Brooks. “And this is one of those things that the money’s going to do a great thing, but the money isn’t even up on the business part of it….Every one just says, ‘Well, we’re just here to make sure everything’s running smoothly, but none of us are making any money, so let’s just go have fun.’” The Oklahoma resident plans to tour again, but it “won’t happen for a few years,” he said. [lastfm link_type=""]Trisha Yearwood[/lastfm], who joined Brooks on stage for the nine flood relief concerts, has given her blessing for one more tour.
