Sisters Becky, Emily and Joanna Robertson make up country music’s Carter’s Chord. The moment [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Toby Keith [/lastfm]saw them perform, he knew they’d be a perfect fit for Show Dog Records. The girls are in the midst of finishing up their sophomore album, and it’s been preceded by the release of a new single “A Little Less Comfortable.”
This past Friday morning, I caught up with Becky at her hotel room in snowy Denver, CO. They were there playing three shows as part of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Toby Keith[/lastfm]‘s I Love This Bar And Grill shows. I also found out that Carter’s Chord would also be singing the national anthem at the Denver Nuggets home game against my beloved Utah Jazz that evening! All week we will be featuring the entire interview, so let’s get started.
So, let’s get the “name” question out of the way. Your last name is not Carter, are you from a city or town called Carter?
Which of the three of you got attracted to music the earliest?
Was there ever a choice for you and your sisters to “not” get involved in music?
Have any of you had “non-music” jobs?
When was Carter’s Chord officially born?
