Nashville certainly is the place to be if you want to hear some great music, or to make it in fact. And that’s exactly what [lastfm link_type=""]Uncle Kracker[/lastfm] is doing this week as he starts recording his fifth album which will be a follow-up to his “[lastfm link_type=""]Happy Hour[/lastfm]” album recorded in 2009.
Kracker says: “I’m kind of excited — actually, the most excited I’ve been in a long time.” He’s written “about 20″ songs for the sessions and described the tunes as “a little more Americana. I don’t want to say rootsy, but I think it’s more ‘me’ than the last record was. So what was the goal in recording it this time? The overall goal this time was to go in and have fun.” Uncle Kracker collaborated on the new songs with [lastfm link_type=""]J.T. Harding[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=""]Shane McAnally[/lastfm], who co-wrote [lastfm link_type=""]Kenny Chesney[/lastfm]‘s latest country chart-topper, “[lastfm link_type=""]Somewhere with You[/lastfm].” Keith Stegall will be producing. And Uncle Kracker will be hitting the road supporting Chesney starting on March 17th in West Palm Beach, Fl.
