If there’s one common ground that Debbie and I have when it comes to music is our love of acoustic performance. It’s why we love our “In-Studio” segments with artists above all other things we do on the air. It’s why Stout Pull and Redneck Yacht Club are our favorite station events each year.
Recently, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Randy Houser[/lastfm] performed an “unplugged” version of “In God’s Time,” at the Ryman Auditorium. The response from the fans that night was so tremendous, that he went into the studio and filmed a video of the moving song.
According to Randy, “This song was really a testament to what I’ve been going through last year– from wondering what was going on in my life, to asking when things would work out and I’d be happy. Even though I was having success as an artist, it still didn’t make me completely happy. Then it hit me. I realized GOD gave me the gift to do what I do for a living, and in order to be truly fulfilled, I needed to start using my gift to try and make some sort of positive impact.”
