After her album [lastfm link_type=""]Real Fine Place[/lastfm] hit number 1 and after she won the [lastfm link_type=""]Academy of Country Music[/lastfm]‘s top female vocalist award [lastfm link_type=""]Sara Evans[/lastfm] was competing on [lastfm link_type=""]ABC[/lastfm]‘s [lastfm link_type=""]Dancing With The Stars[/lastfm] when her 13-year marriage to Craig Schelske imploded.

She left the show to focus on her children.  Fast forward to 2011 and Evans re-emerges on March 8th with her first studio album in six years, titled [lastfm link_type=""]Stronger[/lastfm].  ”I can’t believe that it’s been that long since I’ve had a regular studio album. Everything has changed since I put out ‘[lastfm link_type=""]Real Fine Place[/lastfm],’ ” she says of her previous studio set. “It’s a completely new world. The [lastfm link_type=""]iPhone [/lastfm]wasn’t even out then. Now I love to use [lastfm link_type=""]Twitter[/lastfm].”  So now we’re picking up where we left off with a great singer and some pretty great music.  Evans is now remarried to former University of Alabama quarterback [lastfm link_type=""]Jay Barker[/lastfm], who hosts his own sports radio show. Evans and her three children relocated from Nashville to Birmingham, Ala., where she and Barker’s blended family includes his four kids from his first marriage.  Sara will promote the new album and tour this summer with [lastfm link_type=""]Rascal Flatts[/lastfm].  We can only wish her the best of luck, but with the talent she has she won’t need it.
