A little background first.  [lastfm link_type=””]Ferlin Husky[/lastfm] is one of the all time great country singers.  Ferlin has sold over 20 million records, of which “[lastfm link_type=””]Gone[/lastfm]”, [lastfm link_type=””]Wings of a Dove[/lastfm]”, and “[lastfm link_type=””]A Dear John letter[/lastfm]” were all gold.

Ferlin also made more than 18 motion pictures.  He has worked with [lastfm link_type=””]Henry Fonda[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=””]Glen Ford[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=””]John Carradine[/lastfm] & the late [lastfm link_type=””]Jayne Mansfield[/lastfm].  Mr. Husky is hospitalized in critical condition, his daughter says that the 85 year old’s condition slightly improved on Monday and doctors may soon move him out of critical care at Hendersonville Medical Center. Husky suffers from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and has a history of cardiac problems. Husky was inducted into the [lastfm link_type=””]Country Hall of Fame[/lastfm] last year. He helped bring country music to the masses with pioneering work in television.  Our prayers are with him as well as the family.
