St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow, where green beer, Guinness and Irish Car Bombs are just the appetizer to a seven-course meal.  You may go out and celebrate St. Patrick by saluting to Ireland, wearing tons of green and remembering this saint who… what did he do?  Either way, we’re providing you the soundtrack to your drinking day.

We went to our Facebook family for some suggestions, see what made it!

10.  Pop A Top – [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Alan Jackson[/lastfm]

Pop a top again / I think I’ll have another round / Sit em up my friend / Then I’ll be gone and you can let some other fool sit down.

So maybe not the most uplifting lyrics to begin a countdown, but hey.  Sometimes you gotta have that misery drink to feel better.

9.  Family Tradition – [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Hank Williams Jr.[/lastfm]

Why do you drink? / Why do you roll smoke? / Why must you live out the songs that you wrote? / f I’m down in a Honky-Tonk / Some ol’ slicks tryin to give me corrections / I’ll say leave me alone / I’m singin all night long / It’s a family tradition

You can’t ever say no to family, right?  Isn’t that a rule?  I’m gonna go with that…

8.  Alcohol – [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Brad Paisley[/lastfm]

I got you in trouble in high school / And college now that was a ball / You had some of the best times / You’ll never remember with me / Alcohol, alcohol

What I love about this song is that you know exactly what you’re going to get from it just from the title:  a song about drinkin’!

7.  Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo – [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Tracy Byrd[/lastfm]

Then after three rounds with Jose Cuervo / I let her lead me out on the floor / And after four rounds with Jose Cuervo / I was showing off moves never seen before

Switch out Jose Cuervo with a little Jameson and you’ve got a St Patty’s Day to not remember!

6.  All Jacked Up – [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Gretchen Wilson[/lastfm]

I’m all jacked up, all jacked up  / Don’t believe I’ve ever had this much / One thing I’ve learned when you get tore up / Time sure flies when you’re all jacked up

This countdown was missing a little female action and if anyone knows how to party, it has to be Gretchen!

5.  It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere – [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Alan Jackson[/lastfm] & [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jimmy Buffett[/lastfm]

Pour me somethin’ tall and strong / Make it a hurricane before I go insane / It’s only half past twelve, but I don’t care / It’s five o’clock somewhere

The anthem to a long work day.  Just think, in Europe somewhere they’re already home eating dinner!  That’s a perfect toast to a Guinness!

4.  The More I Drink – [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Blake Shelton[/lastfm]

Cause the more I drink, the more I drink / Yeah, I’m the world’s greatest lover and a dancin’ machine / I get loud, I get proud / And it gets worse / Well if I have one, I’ll have thirteen / Naw, there ain’t no in-between / Cause, the more I drink, the more I drink

We know one thing, Blake Shelton’s wedding will surely have a stocked open bar!

3.  Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off – [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Joe Nichols[/lastfm]

She can handle any champagne brunch / A bridal shower with Bacardi punch / Jello shooters full of Smirnoff / But tequila makes her clothes fall off

It may have been a taboo topic when the song came out, but it’s since been a drinking anthem for any party.

2.  Friends In Low Places – [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Garth Brooks[/lastfm]

Cause I got friends in low places / Where the Whiskey drowns / And the Beer chases my blues away / But I’ll be okay / Now I’m not big on social graces / Think I’ll slip on down to the oasis / Oh I got friends / In low places

Has anyone been to an American wedding and NOT heard this song?  There’s nothing a bunch of drunk  country fans don’t love about Garth Brooks.  You know exactly what this song is in the first three notes.

1.  I Love This Bar – [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Toby Keith[/lastfm]

I love this bar / It’s my kind of place / Just walkin’ through the front door / Puts a big smile on my face / It ain’t too far, come as you are / Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar

Wrap an arm around a buddy, sing at the top of your lungs and wave your Guinness high in the air as you sing the top drinking song to prepare you for your St. Patrick’s Day weekend!
