[lastfm link_type=""]Joe Nichols[/lastfm] has been doing his best to help those in need. The singer recently appeared at a [lastfm link_type=""]USO[/lastfm] dinner in D.C. to perform and honor the military and raise some money for a good cause.
Joe also did a show on Saturday night in Fort Worth, Texas to benefit the [lastfm link_type=""]Red Cross[/lastfm] relief effort in Japan.
In Joe’s video for the song “[lastfm link_type=""]The Shape I’m In[/lastfm]” he makes a direct reference to our injured soldiers, so it seemed only fitting that he’d be the evening’s entertainment. The USO of Metropolitan Washington hosted a dinner this past week to honor the different military branches. In total, the dinner raised $572,000 for the organization.
“Getting to spend time with those honored by the USO as well as other military folks attending the dinner was truly one of the most humbling and important evenings I have ever been a part of,” Nichols comments.
