[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kenny Chesney[/lastfm] recently gave a young girl the surprise of her life!
He surprised 14-year-old, Carrington Walker who was named the Kansas Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s 2011 Girl of the Year by bringing her on to the stage at his concert and serenading her with his song, “Summertime”. Everything that led up to the event was like the moment was meant for the young cancer patient. Her mother had been trying to win the tickets in an auction for a while but was surpassed by an anonymous bidder who actually donated the tickets to Carrington. Then, when they were at the concert someone offered bracelets for them to get closer to the stage and they took them without knowing what awaited them. Before you know it, Kenny pointed right to the young girl and yanked her onto the stage. Carrington says, she couldn’t even breathe she was so in the moment. Unfortunately, with all the excitement Carrington and her family didn’t get a chance to snap a picture, but many spectators did which they promised to email her.
