From one wild and crazy guy expect some great entertainment. Seems like [lastfm link_type=""]Steve Martin[/lastfm] and his banjo are taking on the U.S. Capitol on July 4.
That’s him in the picture above with his band. The entertainer is set to perform from the Capitol’s west lawn during the annual “A Capitol Fourth” concert this year. Yeah! [lastfm link_type=""]Josh Groban[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=""]Little Richard[/lastfm], “Glee” star Matthew Morrison, “American Idol” winner [lastfm link_type=""]Jordin Sparks[/lastfm] and Broadway star Kelli O’Hara also will share the stage. When asked about his participation Martin said: he was inspired, inspired enough to write a song called “Me and Paul Revere.” Now are you ready for this? The song talks about Revere’s infamous ride from his horse’s perspective. I can hardly wait to hear that one. Martin will play the tune with his band, The Steep Canyon Rangers. Jimmy Smits will host the Fourth of July concert, which will be broadcast on PBS, National Public Radio and the American Forces Network.
