Country music vet Ronnie Dunn will be celebrating today in light of his incredible chart triumph.
Although originally starting as a solo artist in 1983, he has spent most of his career as one half of the duo Brooks & Dunn. Selling over thirty million albums has led the duo to a total scrobble count of 2,893,825 – considerably more than Dunn’s solo count of 17,009.
This looks all set to change, though. A decision in late 2010 to revert back to being a solo artist has certainly paid off. His self-titled album was released one week ago, with lead single “Bleed Red” being listened to by 655 listeners last week.
Having knocked Brad Paisley‘s This Is Country Music off the top of the Billboard charts, Dunn’s standing on Last.fm is surely going to grow – and may soon see himself listed as one of the top artists tagged as country.
