It was a packed house at Ruth Eckerd Hall Saturday night as “Deadliest Catch — Live” came to Clearwater.  WQYK’s Steve Austin was your host… above he’s pictured with Captain Sig, who is featured in “Cars 2″ as the voice of Crabby Boat.

The guys were smoking and drinking on stage (a rare thing in 2011) and told the story of one unlucky crew member who lost a finger on the job.  They decided to try to save it so it could be reattached.  They set it down on the dock.  Unfortunately for him, a hungry seagull swooped in and picked it up.

Audience members were also given the challenge to put on the Deadliest Catch survival suit in less than one minute.  One Bay area man did it!
