Taylor Swift donates $250,000 to Nick’s Kids

Nick’s Kids is a philanthropic fund created by Alabama coach Nick Saban and his wife. The donation comes from her Taylor Swift’s Speak Now … Help Now fund.
Nick’s Kids is teaming up with, Team Up and Habitat for Humanity are working to help communities rebuild after the tornado outbreak across Alabama.
“In the weeks since the massive tornado, Terry and I have been working on many projects trying to make a small difference in the devastation that impacted thousands of people in Alabama,” Nick Saban said in a news release. “Taylor Swift’s overwhelmingly generous gift will go a long way in helping our rebuilding efforts.
“Since all of our Nick’s Kids staff and workers are volunteers, every dollar will go towards the relief efforts. We are so grateful that such a talented and successful young person is thoughtful enough to do something to make a positive impact on those who need it most. Taylor deserves a big Roll Tide from our community and we sincerely thank her for joining the team at Nick’s Kids.”
Nick’s Kids has raised roughly $2 million since the Sabans came to Tuscaloosa in 2007.
Nick’s Kids has generated approximately $2 Million since Nick and Terry Saban arrived in Tuscaloosa in 2007. The money is raised through various Nick’s Kids events, appearances and speaking engagements by Nick and Terry, as well as individual gifts like this one from Taylor Swift.
