When All Else Fails, Deny Everything
[photogallerylink id=55787 align=right] [lastfm link_type=""]Taylor Swift[/lastfm] may or may not address her past flames in her songs, only she knows for sure. But one artist, pop singer, [lastfm link_type=""]Joe Jonas[/lastfm] says that he doesn’t kiss and tell through his music. As a matter of fact Jonas said that his new single ‘See No More’ is not about breaking up with the country superstar. Period.
“No. That’s not about her.” ”When I write songs I don’t say who they are about because I don’t want the audience to relate to what was going on with me when I wrote it. You say one thing and it becomes a big rumor.” “I don’t wanna wait for you / I don’t wanna wake up thinkin’, hopin’ / You’ll get it right this time / ‘Cause you know that you’re so cold / I don’t wanna see no more / And I can’t get away from you,” Jonas sings in the spiteful ‘See No More’ chorus.
I think it’s been about 3 years or so since Joe Jonas dumped Taylor Swift over a phone call, and just as much time since she called him out in a song of her own. Taylor said on the [lastfm link_type=""]Ellen DeGeneres[/lastfm] show: “I’m cool. You know what, it’s like, when I find that person that is right for me, he’ll be wonderful.” ”When I look at that person, I’m not even going to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 27 seconds when I was 18.”
Jonas insists that now, three years later, he and Swift have no hard feelings and actually might collaborate on a song someday. Reealy? He says: “I think there’s a great opportunity for that to happen. We’re friendly, we’re not enemies.” ”People like to think that once you’ve dated, that’s it and you can never be friends again. They see it in a very black and white way. But there’s a middle ground in that situation.” If you say so Joe, if you say so.
