As the 10th anniversary of 9/11 approaches, we want to take the time to thank the men and women from the Bay area who have helped keep us safe since the terrorist attacks. If there’s a soldier you’d like to thank, click here and tell us about them.

Today’s soldier salute comes from Marty in New Port Richey:

This note is to recognize a U.S Marine, Andrew L. Brandenburg, from New Port Richey, Florida. Who has served two tours overseas, one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. We would like to thank him for his service’s and sacifice for this country. As his father, I can not express how proud and blessed I feel in having him as my son. I thank God everyday for his safe return home and pray for the safe return of all our troops that are still standing for our freedom and may God bless all the troops that have fallen for our right.

Feel free to leave your comments below! And watch for another Soldier Salute tomorrow here on WQYK.com!
