On September 11th, the NFL season began, and the first Sunday night game happened at MetLife Stadium at the Meadowlands in New Jersey with the New York Jets facing off against the Dallas Cowboys.  Aside from the action packed football game, something bigger happened that night.

Americans were united again in light of the tragic anniversary of September 11th and the attacks on New York City and the Pentagon in Washington D.C.   The 9/11 Memorial was unveiled to family members of the World Trade Center victims in Lower Manhattan, and at MetLife stadium, just across the river that night, New York’s finest rolled out a field size flag, as [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Antebellum[/lastfm] sang The Star Spangled Banner.  I don’t know about you, but for me, it was one of those moments that hit me like a hammer, and was a proud reminder that the United States is in fact the greatest nation in the world.  God bless America… and NFL Football of course.
