Being their most successful hit and one that launched them into the lines of pop music as well, “Need You Now” gave the band four GRAMMY awards in 2011 and a slew of other country music awards. The video follows the storyline of two people who feel the weight of loneliness in the middle of the night. It’s a song about longing and need which people across the world related to.
“We were a little worried though, about that one line: ‘It’s a quarter after one, and I’m a little drunk’,” says Charles Kelley. “We were wondering if it was OK to say that!“ Though in the video, you see Charles drinking coffee, not Whiskey. The video director didn’t want it to be a literal adaptation of the song.
