Ohio country trio Rascal Flatts have been granted the ultimate honor in country music – an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry.
Invited onstage recently by Vince Gill, the band have now cemented their spot amongst the greats in American country music.
Last.fm Trends looks at the scrobbles that has taken them so far.
Rascal Flatts have been incredibly prolific in their relatively short lifespan, releasing eight studio albums since their self-titled debut in 2000. These albums have bought the band 8,991,707 scrobbles, with the most recent album (2010′s Nothing Like This) being scrobbled 108,978 times.
Their scrobbles over the past twelve months have been fairly up and down, with peaks of nearly 25,000 a week and recent lows of around 15,000 a week.
The joining of the Grand Ole Opry and increased exposure will surely see their weekly scrobbles move way above the 20,000 mark – something Last.fm Trends will be keeping a check on.
