[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Martina McBride[/lastfm] has just released her latest record. Eleven looks set to dominate charts throughout the fall and has been labelled a return to form for the Wichita-born singer. Currently, she is making her way across America on a whistle stop train tour promoting Eleven and raising awareness for breast cancer. We’ve got a team on that train, and you can check out all sorts of great pictures, interviews, and videos.
Now, Last.fm Trends takes a look at how listeners are likely to respond.
Martina’s last great spike in listeners was last winter, when a raft of CMA nominations and Country awards came her way.
It suggests that while McBride’s listeners stay relatively steady throughout the year, she does have a fanbase eager to spring into action. The slight uptick in listeners last week might be the first signs of them preparing for the release of Eleven.
Meanwhile, her top tracks are led by older cuts. “Independence Day” regularly picks up more than 900 listeners, which is around twice the number most of her catalog attracts every week.
Second to that is the award-winning “Concrete Angel”, a track around ten years old now. McBride will be hoping Eleven contains a few future classics that can bust her charts wide open.
