Neal McCoy is revisiting his old profession on tonights episode of GAC’s ’Day Jobs’ — selling shoes!
Before Neal McCoy became famous for being a country singer he used to sell women’s shoes. He says he learned a lot about people by selling women’s shoes.
“Anytime you deal with the public, in retail or the restaurant business, you find out that people can really be jerks. There are some mean people out there … True colors come out on folks when you see them buy shoes.”
Neal quit the shoe business after winning a talent contest when he was 23 years old. The grand prize was a gig performing as an opening act for Charley Pride.
Up next for Neal is a new album on Blaster Records, due in early 2012. It is being co-produced by Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert.
You can catch Neal selling shoes on GAC tonight at 7pm eastern time.
