[photogallerylink id=55787 align=right] Only 21-years-old and now Taylor Swift was just named 2011 Woman of the Year from Billboard. Quite an achievement, particularly when you have such a strong field of female artists this year.

Beating out the talented likes of Katy Perry and Adele, Bill Werde, Billboard’s Editorial Director said, “At the young age of 21, Taylor has already made a major impact on music and has been an incredible role model for aspiring singers/songwriters and young women everywhere. I look forward to watching her career continue to flourish in the years to come.”

Right now her resume looks pretty good. Her ‘Fearless’ album has sold 20 million plus and has 40 million song downloads–not to mention it’s been the #1 album by a female country artist on the Billboard 200. That’s a record breaker.

But beyond her singing and songwriting talents, Swift was also recognized for her humanitarian spirit. She participates in many causes and has given $1 million out of her own purse just this year.

Yeah, she’s done a lot at 21-years-old. I think most of us are starting to feel like slackers now.
