Veteran’s Day Military Appreciation and Free Meals are Everywhere
Veteran’s Day falls on the unique date of 11-11-11 (this sequence happens once every 100 years) and to make this even more special, free meals are offered to the men and women who proudly serve and have served this country.
Veteran’s Day Friday November 11, 2011 freebies:
Golden Corral - The 2011 Military Appreciation Monday “thank you” dinner is Monday, November 14 from 5pm – 9pm. This free dinner is open to anyone who has ever served in the U.S. Military. No ID required. Dine-in only. The free “thank you” dinner is available to any person who has ever served in the United States Military. Families are welcomes to eat at regular prices.
Chili’s - Chili’s is offering all military veterans past and present their choice of one of 6 meals. This offer is available from 11am – 5pm on November 11, 2011 at participating Chili’s in the U.S. only. Dine-in from limited menu only; beverages and gratuity not included. Veterans and active duty military simply show proof of military service. Visit their website to find locations.
Outback Steakhouse – Outback is offering a five-day (Mon Nov 7 – Fri Nov 11) free blooming onion and a coke product drink for past and present military. (Military ID required)
Applebee’s- Free meals to military veterans and active duty service members on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11. There will be seven entrées to choose from. Military ID or proof of service required. Visit Applebee’s website to find participating locations. There are 21 Applebee’s in the Tampa Bay area.
Anheuser Busch Heres to the Heroes – Throughout 2011, members of the military and as many as three direct dependents may enter SeaWorld or Busch Gardens once a year with a single-day complimentary admission.
Hooter’s - All 8 Tampa Hooter’s locations are serving up a free meal to military veterans all day on Veterans Day. This offer is valid for all veterans and active duty military personnel. Get 10 Free Wings either Boneless or Regular. A drink purchase is required. Military ID or proof of military service.
Krispy Kreme- Free doughnut. Available only at participating Krispy Kreme stores. Offer available to all active-duty, retirees & veterans on Friday November 11th. Be sure to call ahead to verify your local Krispy Kreme is participating.
Subway Restaurants – Free Six Inch Sub on Veteran’s Day. However, Subway restaurants are franchises, so this offer may not be available everywhere. Please call ahead.
T.G.I. Friday’s- Buy one get one free on Veteran’s Day at participating Friday locations. Valid for all US Military personnel and veterans. Must wear uniform (if permitted by your service) or present military ID or other proof of service. For anyone with an old or current military ID. There are 7 TGI Fridays in Tampa Bay Area.
Denny’s -Free Grand Slam breakfast is available at participating Denny’s locations. There are 22 Denny’s in Tampa Bay. This offer applies to active military or veterans only.
7-Eleven- Salutes active, veteran and retired U.S. military personnel and their immediate families with free, small Slurpee drinks between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Presenting proof of current or former U.S. military service during that time is all that’s required to receive a free Slurpee drink on Veteran’s Day. In addition, customers can donate $1 to the Operation Thank You campaign the donation will go towards sending a care packages to soldiers via the USO. 7-Eleven has planned a special treat for 11 Military Bases including MacDill Air Force Base. Slurpee trailers will take America’s favorite frozen carbonated drink to them during visits between now and 11-12.
National Parks- There are more than 100 national parks that usually charge entrance fees but several time a year including Veteran’s Day weekend they are free to active duty military and veteran’s. November 11-13 is Veterans Day weekend.
