[lastfm link_type=””]Sara Evans[/lastfm] recently spoke out on some of the Christmas traditions she had when she was a little girl.  Sara says: ”My whole life growing up, we would have a huge Christmas celebration. ‘Cause my family’s huge, and we would spend Christmas Eve at my Granny and Paw-Paw’s house, and then we would go home, and it was the only night out of the whole year that we were actually okay with leaving and going home because we knew that Santa was coming. And then we’d have a huge Christmas breakfast at my mom’s.”

“It’s funny, as an adult, when you sing these songs, you really start to take a look at what the actual words are. Because as kids, you know, we memorize these songs, and we have no clue what it’s saying. These lyrics really mean something to me now, because I know exactly what the writer was trying to express. And so, all of the old hymns and old Christmas songs, especially the religious ones, are always my favorite because it’s very sacred, the lyrics to these songs, and what they’re talking about.”
