With all the bad news lately its good to report a little good news every once in a while.  And that good news is that [lastfm link_type=""]Blake Shelton[/lastfm] has just been awarded platinum certification for his single God Gave Me You.   Blake got the new wall bling on Friday.  The show was the first date back following the death of his father.  The song has been certified by the RIAA for digital sales exceeding one million copies sold!  Woo-whoo!  

Also receiving new certifications are Shelton’s ‘Loaded: The Best of Blake Shelton’ album and his current album ‘Red River Blue.’ This weekend, you can tune into NBC for the premiere of Season 2 of ‘The Voice,’ where Shelton will once again join superstars [lastfm link_type=""]Christina Aguilera[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=""]Cee Lo Green[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=""]Adam Levine[/lastfm] as coaches and mentors to the inspiring hopefuls. ‘The Voice’ will premiere on Sunday, Feb. 5 following the Super Bowl.  Am I allowed to say that?  Soup-er-bowl?
