Congratulations are in order for The [lastfm link_type=""]Band Perry[/lastfm] as they score their second number one hit song, on the Billboard country singles chart, with All Your Life. ’All Your Life’ is the fourth release from the band’s self-titled debut album and the follow-up hit to their previous single ‘You Lie,’ which peaked at No. 2.
Two of the three writers on ‘You Lie’ (Clara and Brian Henningsen) also penned ‘All Your Life.’ Like the Band Perry, the Henningsens are also a rising country trio, comprised of a father, Brian, and his son and daughter, Aaron and Clara.
The song ’All Your Life’ was written in the early summer of 2008 when Clara Henningsen was 18. She said: ”I sat out on the porch of our old farm house south of Nashville and wrote most of the song. It started out to be just a sweet love song about a girl asking a boy to prove his love. Then I brought dad into it and he added his little twist.”
“We sang ‘All Your Life’ along with ‘You Lie’ live for the Band Perry the first time we met them later that summer.” ”Kimberly fell in love with it! We hadn’t even demoed the song at that point. They recorded it and started playing it, and soon after got their record deal. And the rest is history!”
