Three country artist, well at least they have ties to country music, will be among the four celebrietes to star on Duets, a new ABC television series that puts together amateurs with well known singers. [lastfm link_type=""]Jennifer Nettles[/lastfm], of [lastfm link_type=""]Sugarland[/lastfm] fame will join [lastfm link_type=""]Kelly Clarkson[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=""]Lionel Richie[/lastfm] and Robin Thicke on the show this summer.
The new ABC show will send the singers out to find a new protege each week and the hopefuls will ultimately perform in front of a live studio audience with their celebrity. Nettles said: ”I think the element of performance with our partners on this show makes it different.” Nettles went on to say that she just wants to have fun with her contestants and the show. “The concept of ‘Duets’ is so fresh because mentoring is active and participatory. Most of my greatest learning was from singing and playing with other performers throughout my life and career.”
