A wedding during the Academy of Country Music Awards show? In, of all places, Las Vegas? That’s right, and if you are tuning into the ACM Awards broadcast on CBS this Sunday (April 1 at 8pm ET/PT), then you are on the list.
Martina McBride and Train singer Pat Monahan will sing a duet of their song “Marry Me” during the ACM Awards this Sunday. And to underscore what the song is about, the song will be part of a live wedding between two lucky country fans, Christina Davidson and Frank Tucci, who will be married on stage during the award show.
“Marry Me” is Martina’s latest single (released just this week), a remake of the song written and originally recorded by Train. Martina and Train performed the song together during an episode of CMT Crossroads. Well, Martina must have really liked it, because it’s her latest release and on her current CD Eleven. Martina’s recorded version also includes Train lead singer Pat Monahan. The pair will perform the song together during the ACMs.
Other performers during the broadcast include Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Sara Evans, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Chris Young, The Band Perry, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town and Rascal Flatts.
