Big Bucks For the Bambino
There have been a lot of famous New York Yankees that have played, but there may be none bigger than Babe Ruth. A jersey that was worn by the Babe in 1920 has sold for a record $4.4 million, which is a record for any sports memorabilia sold. The jersey is the earliest known baseball jersey that Babe Ruth wore.
The jersey had been displayed at the Babe Ruth Birthplace in Baltimore and the jersey was worn right after the babe was sold from the Boston Red Sox to the Yankees following the 1919 baseball season.
