Sibling trio, The Band Perry, are busy working on their follow-up album to their insanely successful self titled debut album, which brought five Top 20 singles to the country music scene.
“If I Die Young” even became a huge cross over hit in the world of pop music landing at no. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Not to mention, they played in front of the biggest crowd of their career back in March at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo setting the number two all time record, performing to a sold-out crowd of 74,241!
It’s been an amazing 2012 thus far for the group. So how do they to they top themselves?
For their sophomore album, currently in the works, they’re bringing in some powerhouse songwriters.
The trio also recently revealed that they collaborated with Sheryl Crow on a song. Kimberly Perry told CMT Radio, “A huge influence of mine has always been Sheryl Crow. I just love how lyrically she is so creative and completely unique to herself. She’s a strong lady, a fantastic performer, and she’s got a little spitfire herself. I’ve always looked up to Sheryl.”
Though we can only hope the song will make it on the trio’s next album, there has been no official word. In the meantime, The Band Perry is climbing the charts with their latest single, “Postcard From Paris,” co-written by former American Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi.
Not only can we look forward to new music from The Band Perry, we can expect another album from Sheryl Crow this year. Her first since 2010′s 100 Miles From Memphis.
