Under doctors’ orders, Miranda Lambert has cancelled her concert performances this weekend. According to a statement on her website, she’s been placed on “vocal rest” due to “overextending her voice.”

The statement also says she’s “under the care of her doctor” (which we presume is someone in addition to Blake Shelton).

The cancelled appearances include a concert tonight (July 6) in Varysburg, N.Y. that was part of the Jam in the Valley festival. A show Saturday (July 7) at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Penn. is also not taking place, according to Live Nation as well as the Montage Mountain Facebook page.

Fans are of course heartbroken they won’t get to see Lambert this weekend, but organizers are doing their best to keep everyone happy.

The Jam in the Valley website notes that they found out about the cancellation Thursday (July 5) and were able to secure Gretchen Wilson and Sawyer Brown to perform tonight in her place. Festival organizers do, though, understand this may not please everyone. “Please keep all unused tickets and unused wristbands as we formulate a plan for refunds and or reimbursements,” a statement reads.

Lambert’s scheduled performance for tomorrow night (July 7) at Montage Mountain in Scranton also been postponed. The Live Nation page for the event reads that a new date is “TBD” and that “tickets may be used on the new date (once confirmed).”

No word yet on additional cancellations, though the statement on her website does say that “she hopes to return to the road next weekend.” Stay tuned here to for updates on her condition, as well as all upcoming tour dates.
