Last week we reported that Miranda Lambert had to cancel a pair of shows under orders from her doctor, due to “overextending her voice.” That “vocal rest” has now been extended at least another week. In a statement on her website, Miranda writes that three shows this coming weekend are now being postponed until October.
I’m so sorry to disappoint the fans that have already bought tickets to see me,” Miranda writes. “I’m taking care of my voice and I can’t wait to get on the road again and bring you a hell of a show.”
The shows planned this weekend (July 12-14) in Alabama and Georgia are the ones currently affected. The rescheduled dates are as follows:
Orange Beach, AL – October 4
Atlanta, GA – October 5
Pelham, AL – October 6
Her tour calendar has now been updated to show all her current and rescheduled dates.
Here’s hoping that, when it comes to recovery, Miranda truly is the “Fastest Girl in Town.”
