It’s one thing to go into a studio and cut a record, and quite another to actually hear the song you put your heart and soul into being played on the radio.  Love and Theft’s Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson talk about hearing their smash, “Angel Eyes,” on the radio. They guys caught up with Sony Music and had this to say:  Stephen: “How exciting is that to hear your own song on the radio? I mean, that’s still…that will never, ever get old…ever, in the history…so, to hear ‘Angel Eyes’ on the radio, we’ve only heard…I’ve only personally heard it on there a couple times, so I get extra excited now ’cause I’m still hearing it…”  Eric: “Stephen doesn’t have a working radio in his car…”
Stephen: “I don’t have a radio in my car, so if I hear it on the radio, it’s ’cause we happen to be in, like, a minivan on the road or something.” (laughs)  Eric: “I was goin’ to Home Depot the other day and was about to turn off the car, and I heard, like, the intro. I was like, ‘Whoop!’ Me and my wife sat in the car for the whole song and waited. So, it was fun. It’s just exciting to hear your song.”
