Love and Theft is composed of Stephen Barker Liles who is from the Tampa Bay area and Eric Gunderson both of whom sing lead vocals and play guitar. Love and Theft are with RCA Records Nashville and their first single with RCA is “Angel Eyes”. This is included on a self-titled album.
Shortly before being signed, the band was also signed as an opening act for Taylor Swift on her 2008 tour. Taylor Swift even wrote a song about Stephen, the song is called “Hey Stephen” which appears on Swift’s 2008 album Fearless.
Love and Theft made its first Grand Ole Opry performance on March 28, 2009, shortly before the release of its debut single “Runaway”.
Love and Theft will be in town at the 1-800-Ask Gary Amphitheater on September 28th with Brad Paisley, The Band Perry, & Scotty McCreery.
