Nascar driver, Tony Stewart will lose one of his major sponsors, Office Depot, they will not be sponsoring Tony next season, ending a partnership of four years together, team spokesman Mike Arning said Sunday.

“It’s going to be hard to lose them, but we have a great spot for someone now,” Stewart said on ESPN’s prerace show.

“The decision to significantly curtail our relationship with Stewart-Haas Racing was very difficult and one that we did not take lightly,” Office Depot spokesman Mindy Kramer said in a statement. “However, the changing business landscape warrants a realignment of priorities and resources.

“That being said, Tony Stewart has been an exceptional ambassador for our brand, and he has gone above and beyond in everything that he has done for our company. Being a part of his legendary 2011 championship run was a moment of tremendous pride for everyone at Office Depot.”

“While we are not able to continue next year at the same level that comes with being a primary sponsor, and that of course is a big change, Office Depot loves Tony and we value this relationship that we’ve built together these 4 years,” Kramer said.

“SHR and Tony have been exceptional partners to Office Depot from Day 1. So we are very hopeful that we’ll be able to continue to work together.”
