Wrestling legend Jerry “The King” Lawler had to be revived Monday night after suffering a heart attack during a broadcast of WWE’s “Monday Night Raw.”
Lawler was taken to the locker room on a stretcher, received CPR and was transported to a nearby hospital. Lawler eventually started breathing on his own and was undergoing tests.
“We are hopeful Jerry makes a full recovery and returns to WWE in the near future. Our thoughts are with Jerry and his family,” World Wrestling Entertainment said in a statement.
“I’m shaken by the news of my friend Jerry Lawler’s medical emergency in Montreal. Hands shaking. Prayers for the King. I feel helpless,” Ross wrote on his Twitter account.
