The Detroit Tigers have advanced to the World Series by beating the New York Yankees 8-1 Thursday, they pulled of a four-game sweep of the Yankees in the AL championship series.

Miguel Cabrera hit a two-run homer in a four-run fourth inning against CC Sabathia.

“Yeah, we did it,” Cabrera said. “It’s an unbelievable feeling. … Four more wins, guys. Four more wins.”
