Hurricane Sandy Causes Over 5,000 Flights To Be Canceled
Airlines have canceled over 5,000 flights mainly because of Hurricane Sandy. Hurricane Sandy is heading up the east coast of the United States
1,100 flights were canceled as of Sunday afternoon, and nearly 4,000 flights have been canceled for Monday.
Even the The Statue of Liberty will have to wait to reopen to the public after a renovation project because of the storm. The Statue was scheduled to reopen on today.
The Statue will be closed Monday and Tuesday because of Sandy. It is expected to reopen Wednesday.
