To coin a phrase, “I’ll have a blue Christmas without you,” is an understatement. To fans of Gossip Girl it may seem more like “Black Friday.” The CW hit series will air its final episode ever on Monday, Dec. 17. My spies tell me that Gossip Girl will receive a two-hour special goodbye, giving you the proper amount of time to air-kiss your favorite Upper East Sider farewell. The network is setting it up like this, the first hour will feature clips and interviews with the cast and producers that looks back at Gossip Girl’s six-year run. So far so good. They plan to keep the tradition of naming their episodes after famous films and from what I hear the last one will be titled “New York, I love You XOXOX.” The network also plans to air a preview of the new series The Carries Diaries, a prequel, will air during the two-hour special.
