Another year, another 365 days of amazing country duets!  Last year, country music had some hard hitters like Brad Paisley & Carrie Underwood’s “Remind Me” but this year even bigger names teamed up for some massive hits.

From married couples to tour mates and more, here are the five best country duets of 2012.

Miranda Lambert & Blake Shelton “Over You”

This emotional hit was written by Blake Shelton about his personal experience as a teenager when he lost his brother in a car accident.  While Blake isn’t technically singing on the track, since he couldn’t emotionally sing this song every night on stage, his wife Miranda Lambert gladly took the reigns, putting it on her fourth studio release Four The Record.  Songwriting magic!

Tim McGraw & Kenny Chesney “Feel Like A Rockstar”

Just in time for a massive co-headling national tour, Tim McGraw & Kenny Chesney teamed up with this party hit that made for a perfect collab on tour.  Released in April, it gained much radio attention just before the start of their Brothers Of The Sun Tour which kicked off in June.

Lionel Richie & Darius Rucker “Stuck On You”

While this song was originally recorded in 1984, Lionel Richie rereleased the track on his 2012 album Tuckaseegee adding Darius Rucker to the mix.  It gained major success in the 80s and now nearly 30 years later, gained Darius Rucker a few award nominations and acclaim from major country critics.

Alan Jackson & Zac Brown Band “Dixie Highway”

In 2011, Zac Brown Band nursed one of the biggest hits of the year while having Alan Jackson’s immense talent on the track “As She’s Walking Away”.  Not long after, Zac Brown returned the favor as he jumped on Alan Jackson’s track “Dixie Highway”.  While the song never made it to radio, it still shows a spectacular range of talent in one track.

Taylor Swift & The Civil Wars “Safe & Sound”

While the song was technically released the last week of December in 2011, this duet didn’t make waves until early 2012 when Taylor Swift teamed up with The Civil Wars to release the lead song from the much anticipated film “The Hunger Games”.  The song was such a hit among Hunger Games fans, it even gained GRAMMY attention, getting nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media for the 2013 GRAMMY Awards.  The Civil Wars have since disbanded.
