Blake Shelton took fans by surprise last week with the release of a brand-new single, “Sure Be Cool If You Did.”
Today, the single now has its own accompanying lyric video. And it’s a clever one. It’s set in a barroom, and the lyrics are unveiled on tap handles, bottle labels, neon signs, chalkboards, old-school wall menus, posters…you get the idea.
Blake alerted fans in his usual method–via Twitter:

As we mentioned earlier, it’s a mystery how Blake found time for recording between his other obligations, including live dates, promoting his Christmas album, taping The Voice, and now show prep for his gig cohosting the ACM Awards (with Luke Bryan). No word yet on where this song might fit into some unnamed future recording project, either. So for now, we just think it’s ‘cool’ that Blake ‘did’ have this little surprise up his sleeve.
