It was “a long 18 hours” this past Sunday night for Dierks Bentley, who was frantically searching his Nashville neighborhood for his longtime canine pal Jake. The friendly, furry white dog jumped a fence during intense thunderstorms Sunday night and wandered the streets of Nashville on a cold, stormy night.
As we previously reported, Dierks posted notice of his missing friend across social media (Facebook and Twitter), and friends and fans took immediate action — some simply retweeted the news, others who were more local literally took to the streets to help in the search.
Jake was eventually found at a busy in intersection. The woman who picked him up, says Dierks, “heard through social media that Jake had been missing and returned him.”

Dierks was, as you’d imagine, deeply grateful for the fast, widespread response. So much so in fact that he posted a video thanking everyone for all the effort.
Listed as number 92 in his DBTV series, the video also shows fans a glimpse into the deep thinking that is behind Dierks’ upcoming Locked & Reloaded Tour with Miranda Lambert, which kicks off next month. In particular, Dierks is excited to show fans some of what he describes as “brand new technology that nobody out there is using.” Curious? Well, just watch and see.
The Locked & Reloaded Tour kicks off Jan. 17 in Columbia, South Carolina.
