ACM New Vocal Duo or Group nominee Love and Theft is not only thrilled about their recent ACM nomination, but the duo’s Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson are also feeling mighty good about their hot new single, “Runnin’ Out of Air.” It’s a song that the guys first heard when they were considering what to record on their latest album, and while the song’s style has evoked some comparisons to other great artists, Eric says that whatever else it may be, it’s definitely Love and Theft. “I think the first time we heard that we were sittin’ in an A&R meeting, and we all were just like, ‘Well, we have to cut that! That’s awesome!’ It doesn’t sound like anything else that you would hear on a record or the radio right now. It just has a very…it’s got a cool old-school feel, but then it also has a cool modern thing to it. Somebody told us they thought it was like the Eagles meets Maroon 5, and that’s a really good way of describin’ it, in my opinion. Or it’s just completely Love and Theft.”
