Eric Church’s Chief just keeps on giving.
Released in 2011, his platinum-selling (and now ACM-nominated) album has already given us hits such as “Drink in My Hand,” “Homeboy,” “Creepin’,” and of course “Springsteen” (which also earned ACM Award nominations).
Eric’s latest single from Chief is “Like Jesus Does,” written by Casey Beathard and Monty Criswell. And now Eric has released a brand-new music video for the song as well.
As a concept, this video is relatively simple–just Eric seated at a mic with an acoustic guitar. It’s shot in black-and-white, too, which adds to its straightforwardness, allowing the song itself to stand out. And being a personal, somewhat quiet ballad, this bare-bones presentation fits perfect. (And it’s quite different, for instance, from his last video, the spooky “Creepin’,” which landed Eric another of his seven ACM nominations, this one for Video of the Year).
